Grilled Tilapia

1. Spicy Ghanaian Grilled Tilapia

The perfect weekend treat. Best used with our Large Size 3 (Black Variety).


Ingredients:

  • 2 Large Fresh Tilapia
  • Ginger, Garlic, Onion (blended)
  • Kpakpo Shito (Green pepper)
  • Powdered pepper & Salt
  • Oil for basting

Instructions:

  1. Clean and score the fish deeply on both sides.
  2. Marinate with the blended spices for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill over medium heat (charcoal is best) for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Baste with oil and extra spice mix every 5 minutes to keep it juicy.
  5. Serve with Banku and hot pepper.
Fish Soup

2. Fresh Fish Light Soup

A soothing, healthy soup. Best used with our Medium Regular sizes.


Ingredients:

  • 3 Medium Fresh Tilapia (cut into steaks)
  • Garden eggs, Tomatoes, Pepper
  • Onions & Garlic

Instructions:

  1. Steam the blended onion, ginger, and garlic with the fish for 5 minutes.
  2. Boil the vegetables (tomatoes, garden eggs, pepper) separately, blend, and strain into the pot.
  3. Add water to your desired thickness and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Be careful not to stir too vigorously so the fresh fish doesn't break!
